Hi everyone, This is Bonita Cohn, the web administrator of http://www.baulinescraftguild.org.
The idea to make a blog came up at the board meeting.
Since blogs are still relatively new to me I'm still learning how to manage them. At the present I believe I can directly add postings and anyone can make comments. I would like to figure out a way that anyone can directly add postings. I think it is possible to have up to 100 people approved to add postings so that should work just fine.
For now if you have anything you need posted just email it to me and I'll post it. Anyone will be able to comment on it. I will put a link to the blog on our web site.
This blog will be great for sharing ideas. It can be helpful for discussions on your art, announcing shows, and other Guild business.
I believe there is an option for you all to choose if you would like an email sent to you every time a posting/comment is made to the site. That would be up to you. I'm not quite sure how that works yet but would not be something you were required to do.
I'm very excited about this but at the same time apprehensive.
For now, please send me any info you want posted here. I think this is going to be fun.
Bloggingly yours, Bonita

Hi Bonita. Congrats on starting the new blog. It's a real good place to keep members notified on up-to-the-minute Baulines info and news. I went to a short blog seminar at last years Baltimore American Craft Council Show, and it convinced me to start my own. It's worked out quite well, and try to update it twice a month--and with pictures. You can check my blog out at http://roncookstudios.blogspot.com. I link to the blog from my website, and vice-versa. Also, the RSS Feed is the thing that alerts "subscribers" e-mails whenever a new blog posting occurs. It's that little orange square with the curved lines in it. Click on that and it brings up a Google notice page where you can click on the "subscribe to" link. That puts a feed folder in your e-mail. Have fun!
